In April, Cal Poly Pomona marks Sexual Assault Awareness Month with the goal of raising awareness about sexual violence and its prevention.
Throughout the month, the Violence Prevention & Women’s Resource Center (VPWRC) will host educational programs focusing on “effective consent,” a verbal agreement on both sides to participate in sexual activity. Other events will educate people on preventing sexual violence through bystander awareness.
For more information, call VPWRC at (909) 869-3112 or visit www.dsa.cpp.edu/vpwrc/Sexual_Assault_Awareness.asp.
