Cal Poly Pomona’s men’s basketball team will face Dixie State College (Utah) in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Tournament. The teams will play Friday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m. in Bellingham, Wash.
The winner of that match-up will play Western Washington or Central Washington on Saturday, March 13 at 7 p.m. Video streaming, live stats and post-game results will be available at www.wwuvikings.com.
The Broncos, seeded No. 4 in the West Region, will be joined in Bellingham with CSU San Bernardino, Seattle Pacific, BYU Hawaii, Humboldt State and Western Washington, the host school.
The Broncos are 22-6 and will make their second trip to Bellingham in as many years. The Broncos won both of their games in the 2009 West Sub-Regional at WWU before going on to win the regional at BYU Hawaii.

Coach Scott Davis’ women’s team will play the University of Alaska Anchorage on Friday, March 12 at 5:30 p.m. in Seattle in the West Regional, hosted by Seattle Pacific University. The fifth-seeded Broncos (22-6 overall) will face the Seawolves, who finished third in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
