Joan Leong, associate professor in the biological sciences department, has been named a faculty fellow by the John T. Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies. The fellowship supports Leong’s ongoing field research into wild bee pollination of seedless watermelon as an alternative to declining populations of managed European honey bees.
