University Police need assistance in identifying a suspect who might be involved in thefts on campus. Anyone with information should contact police at (909) 869-3070.
Cal Poly Pomona police are seeking the campus community’s assistance in identifying a suspect who might be involved in thefts on Jan. 11 at the American Red Cross and the Interim Design Center in Building 89A. The suspect might also have been involved in similar crimes in the CLA Building 98.

Faculty, staff and students are urged to take extra security precautions and keep valuables in a secure location.

The suspect is described as a black man in his late 40s, 5-foot-10 inches to 6 feet tall, and weighing 200 to 250 pounds. He has short, black hair and was seen wearing a gray suit, purple tie and gold-rimmed eyeglasses. Later, the suspect was seen wearing a black dress shirt and purple striped tie. Police say he might be driving a late model Chevy Traverse.

If you have any information that might assist in the investigation, contact the University Police Department at (909) 869-3070. Anonymous tips may be called in to (909) 869-3399.
