Police Investigating Sexual Battery Incident


University Police is investigating a report of sexual battery that occurred Tuesday morning near the tennis courts on campus. According to police, the victim was walking near the courts at 8:25 a.m. when the assailant approached, tried to start a conversation and grabbed the victim's breast. He was last seen running toward Parking Lot K.

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s with medium-length brown hair. He was wearing an oversized navy-colored jacket, blue jeans and carrying a backpack.

Members of the campus community are urged to be aware of their surroundings, travel with others when possible, and notify University Police immediately of any suspicious persons or situations.
