Tired of your humdrum routine? Inject a song by attending Music department concerts and events this fall. Special events include a songwriting master class led by a film soundtrack composer, a classical ensemble performance, and a piano/guitar duo. The student shows and free film screenings will appeal to a wide variety of musical tastes and interests.
One notable event is the free songwriting master class featuring Mike Viola, who wrote, produced and/or performed songs for movies such as “That Thing You Do!” and “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.” Also, Music Professor Nadia Shpachenko will perform with Grammy-nominated violist Karen Elaine and clarinetist Jerome Summers.
All events are in the Music Recital Hall unless otherwise noted. Tickets can be purchased at https://csupomona.tix.com or through the Music Publicity Office, Building 24, Room 142. For more information, contact Teresa Kelly at (909) 869-3554 or tkelly@cpp.edu.
