Submit Abstracts for Conference for Undergraduate Research

The 2009 Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research will be held at CSU Dominguez Hills on Nov. 21. The deadline for submission of abstracts is Friday, Oct. 2. Students in all disciplines – including creative and performing arts, engineering, humanities, natural and social sciences – are invited to present their research, scholarship and creative work during this celebration of undergraduate discovery. The Office of Research will pay the $60 registration fees for the first 50 students out of discretionary funds. To encourage teamwork, the Office of Research will pay for up to five students per presentation if they all are co-authors on the research and if they all participate in the presentation. The office will also pay the $70 registration fee for the faculty mentors of students registered who wish to attend the conference. The deadline for registration is Friday, Oct. 23.
