Summertime is right around the corner, and Cal Poly Pomona is offering an assortment of sports camps to keep children and teenagers active all summer long.
The university's Athletics Department will host camps and clinics in basketball, baseball, soccer and volleyball. They will be led by student athletes and the coaching staff.
For more than two decades, Cal Poly Pomona has helped children build their social and athletic skills. In addition, it is a way for student athletes to gain hands-on experience in coaching.
“The camps are a reflection of our campus' 'learn-by-doing' philosophy as the student athletes get to teach children from all ages,” says Lorena Marquez, marketing coordinator for athletics. “It's always great to have the youth come out to the summer sport camps so that they can a sense of belonging to the campus.”
A 10 percent discount is available during the initial registration period for children of Cal Poly Pomona faculty and staff, for groups of five or more, for those attending multiple camps, and for two or more children attending the same camp.
For more information, contact the Athletics Department at (909) 869-2810 or visit https://dsa.cpp.edu/athletics/sportscamps/default.asp.
