Cal Poly Pomona is offering a Special Summer Session through the College of Extended University (CEU) beginning July 13. These fully accredited courses are open to all Cal Poly Pomona students as well as non-matriculated students (members of the general public) who meet the course requirements.
To better assist students in making progress toward graduation, the number and type of courses to be offered are very similar to those previously available for the summer quarter. Most classes have been modified to a five-week format. Financial aid in the form of Stafford Loans, Pell Grants and work study is still available for qualified students. Course costs are $220 per lecture unit and $280 per lab unit.
Each class must enroll a set number of students. Students are being encouraged to work together with their friends, classmates and fellow students to reach the required number of participants for each class. General registration will be open July 6-9.
“This special session gives our current students the opportunity to complete degree requirements while allowing students from community colleges and other universities to experience Cal Poly Pomona. Students admitted for the fall 2009 quarter may also enroll in this special session to get a head start on their coursework,” says Kathleen Street, associate vice president for enrollment management & services.
Information regarding the Special Summer Session, including important calendar dates, registration process, fees and course schedule, is available at www.cpp.edu/~summer09. Registration for non-matriculated students is processed differently, and information is available on the CEU Special Summer Session 2009 website at www.ceu.cpp.edu/go/summer2009/.
