Student Places Second at Annual CSU Research Competition

Congratulations to David E. Chavezticas, mechanical engineering major, for winning second place for his presentation “Structural and Mechanical Characterization of Spider Silk” at the 23rd Annual CSU Research Competition. The event was held May 1-2 at Cal State Los Angeles. Chavezticas’s faculty mentor was Dr. Vilupanur A. Ravi. The annual system-wide competition showcases research conducted by CSU undergraduate and graduate students. The student participants make oral presentations before juries of professional experts from major corporations, foundations, public agencies, and colleges and universities in California.
