All faculty, staff and students are urged to prepare for a test of Cal Poly Pomona's Safety Alert System on Thursday, May 28. The test will begin shortly after 10 a.m. Expect a brief test message on your cell, home and office phones, as well as e-mails or other communication devices. The campus community is urged to notify those who share your home number, particularly if their first language is not English. The contact information you provide on BroncoDirect will be used for the Safety Alerts. To ensure you receive the test messages and become familiar with the Safety Alert System, please update your information on BroncoDirect immediately. The Safety Alerts can reach you through your home phone, office phone, cell phone, e-mail addresses, text/SMS and TTY/TTD devices, so make sure to add data for all your communication devices. Test messages from the Safety Alert System will have the ID 23177 on text messages, (866) 869-7659 on phone messages and Cal Poly Pomona Safety Alert at safetyalert@cpp.edu on e-mail messages. You are encouraged to add these contacts into your cell phones or e-mails under Cal Poly Pomona Safety Alert. If you are adding a cell phone number into BroncoDirect for the first time, you may be asked to confirm that you want to receive text messages from the Safety Alert.
