The California State University (CSU) and the California State University Employees Union (CSUEU) have agreed to extend their collective bargaining agreement for two years. While the extended contract will maintain the status quo on salaries, benefits and other terms and conditions until 2011, it does provide for a salary reopener upon a 30-day notice by the union.
Additionally the parties have agreed to form a Labor-Management Committee to develop recommendations towards a long-term compensation strategy and salary structure.
“I thank the CSUEU leadership and its members for reaching an agreement for the next two years,” said CSU Chancellor Charles B. Reed. “This agreement signals our mutual commitment to creating a long-term strategy for resolving issues.”
