Cal Poly Pomona will follow a 4/10 summer work schedule beginning Monday, June 15 and ending Thursday, Aug. 28. The modified schedule will allow the university to reduce its carbon footprint and save on energy costs. During the 4/10 work schedule, the campus will be open for general business Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday will not be a regular work day for most campus employees. Only work units requiring 24-hour coverage or extended service days/hours will operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There are two weeks during the summer when the campus will follow the regular five-day work schedule. From June 29 to July 3, employees will work eight hours Monday through Thursday and observe the July 4 holiday on Friday. During the week of July 27 to 31, employees will work eight hours Monday through Friday. The university will return to its regular schedule on Monday, Aug. 30.
Employees who are unable to follow the 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. schedule can submit a “4/10 Summer Work Schedule Hardship Request Form.” For more details, visit the 4/10 Work Schedule website. It includes calendars, frequently asked questions, a hardship form and other resources. The site is also available through the Human Resources website. |
