Every can and bottle counts when it comes to recycling. In fact, the campus recycled about 3,500 tons of waste last year — that's about 300 pounds per person. Recognizing that achievement, the Los Angeles Regional Agency has presented the university with the Excellence in Environmental Practices Award.
