Input Needed on Academic Plan Report


The campus community is invited to participate in three upcoming open forums to discuss the university's draft academic strategic plan report. Developed by the ad-hoc academic planning committee, the report includes an academic strategic plan with articulated goals, strategic directions and indicators of progress. The report also suggests a mechanism for ongoing strategic planning at the university across the divisions.

The plan had its first reading in the Academic Senate on April 15 and will be discussed further at a special Senate meeting on May 5. On May 20, it will be considered and voted on at the Senate meeting. Wide participation is important as the plan proceeds. Faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends in the community are encouraged to participate in the open forums and provide their perspectives on the future of the University.

The open forums are scheduled for the following dates:
