Union Pacific Railroad Gives Scholarship Money to Engineering

The College of Engineering recently received a $7,000 gift from Union Pacific Railroad for scholarships and related activities. Scholarship recipients will be selected by the dean and department chairs in the college.

The donation will be used in the following ways:

  • Society of Women Engineers — $1,500 ($1,000 for student scholarships, $500 for recruitment events).
  • National Society of Black Engineers — $1,500 ($1,000 for student scholarships, $500 for NSBE national conference student registrations).
  • Society of Hispanics in Science and Engineering — $2,000 ($1,000 student scholarships, $1,000 for fall hospitality events).
  • Maximizing Engineering Potential — $2,000 (for two $1,000 scholarships).
