Norman Gregory Young, professor of business law, was one of two California educators invited to the 25th anniversary celebration of University of Cambridge’s Lauterpacht Centre for International Law. Attendees of the invitation-only event included some of the most prominent lawyers, judges and academics in the world including James Crawford, center director who once served on the U.N. International Law Commission; Hans Blix, former director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency; and Roslyn Higgins, president of the U.N. International Court of Justice. Young has been involved with the center since 2000 when he was a visiting fellow performing legal research concerning the United States, China and the Hague, home of the International Criminal Court.
