College of Engineering Dean Edward Hohmann |
College of Engineering Dean Edward Hohmann was recently featured on Time Warner Cable Local Edition in a news segment about the university's success in producing engineers who are prepared to meet the demands of industry.
Hohmann discussed the college's national ranking in U.S. News and World Report, where it moved up four spots to 12th on the list of “Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs — Master's.” Much of the college's success comes from the university's polytechnic approach, he explained. Students gain academic skills as well as the hands-on experience so they can go to work and contribute to a company after they graduate.
The five-minute interview is available in low bandwith and mid bandwith.
The news segment is shown in conjunction with the local edition of the Time Warner Cable broadcast of CNN Headline News. The interviews are recorded each month in the company's studios in Ontario and Claremont and are featured throughout Southern California. Time Warner Cable Inc. is the second-largest cable operator in the United States.
Instructional & Information Technology has made the video interviews available to the entire campus community.
