Cecilia Santiago, director of the Cesar E. Chavez Center for Higher Education, has received the Dorothy Keller New Professional Award from the National Association of Student Professional Administrators (NASPA). The award recognizes leaders for their outstanding service, innovative and creative efforts and promise for future leadership roles. At Cal Poly Pomona, Santiago is dedicated to increasing the outreach, recruitment, retention, graduation and cultural pride of Chicanos/Latinos. She will be honored at an awards luncheon of the NASPA 2008 Western Regional Conference in November.
