Earthquake Rattles Cal Poly Pomona, Campus Remains Open

Cal Poly Pomona was rocked by a 5.8 magnitude earthquake about 11:45 a.m. (Pacific time) on Tuesday, July 29. According to early reports, the epicenter of the quake was Chino Hills. At this time, the full extent of injuries and damages at the university are not available. Early reports show no one was injured, and minor damages in buildings throughout campus. The university remains open at this time, and is reviewing its operations and assessing damages.
