More than 3,700 students are expected to take part in Cal Poly Pomona's 52nd annual commencement ceremonies June 13-15 in the University Quad. The university holds eight different ceremonies representing each of its colleges and school over the three-day span. Of special note this year, Cal Poly Pomona and the California State University will present an honorary doctorate to Andrew J.C. Cherng, founder and chairman of Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., (PRG), the parent company of Panda Inn, Panda Express and Hibachi-San.
