To reduce Cal Poly Pomona's carbon footprint and energy costs, the university will observe 4/10 work schedule during the summer, from June 16 to Aug. 29. During the 4/10 work schedule, the campus will be open for general business Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday will not be a regular work day for most campus employees. Only work units requiring 24-hour coverage or extended service days/hours will operate on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The university will return to its regular Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule starting Tuesday, Sept. 2, following the Labor Day holiday. During the summer, there are two work weeks when the campus will revert to the regular work schedule. The week of June 30 to July 4, employees will work eight hours Monday through Thursday and observe the July 4 holiday on Friday. During the week of July 28 to Aug. 1, employees will work eight hours Monday through Friday. Employees can submit a “4/10 Summer Work Schedule Hardship Request Form” if they are unable to follow the 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. work schedule. The form is available at https://www.cpp.edu/~hr/hr_forms/4-10%20Exception%20Form%20(4).doc More information about the 4/10 work schedule is available at https://www.cpp.edu/~hr/four_ten_faqs.shtml and on the Human Resources web site: https://www.cpp.edu/~hr/ |
