President Ortiz will discuss the campus vision and core values on Tuesday, May 20. |
President Michael Ortiz will unveil the results of the Vision and Identity Initiative during a campus-wide meeting on Tuesday, May 20 at 8:45 a.m. in the Bronco Student Center, Ursa Major Suite.
For four months, an extensive information-gathering process took place to identify a vision for the university that would help provide a foundation for a new strategic plan. Thousands of faculty, staff and students took part in two campus-wide surveys, 21 focus groups, and 12 college/division meetings.
Based on the wealth of information the campus community has shared throughout the process, President Ortiz will articulate the university's vision and core values. The vision and core values will reflect what he has heard time and again from faculty, staff and students throughout the initiative.
“We facilitated a complex process, but the outcomes were fundamental and basic,” says President Ortiz. “It was these common threads that helped reveal Cal Poly Pomona's strong sense of identity.”
For those individuals who cannot attend, the entire presentation will be streamed live at https://video.cpp.edu/streaming/events/vision.html
