The College of Engineering is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. |
The spotlight will be on the College of Engineering on Friday, May 30 as it celebrates 50 years of hands-on learning, and looks toward the future of engineering education at Cal Poly Pomona.
Festivities will begin at 6 p.m. with a VIP reception at the W. Keith and Janet Kellogg University Art Gallery, followed by an anniversary dinner beginning at 7 p.m. in Ursa Major at the Bronco Student Center.
“This benefit will directly impact student learning opportunities. Event proceeds go toward equipment, facilities and faculty development that help the College of Engineering prepare students for an engineering career in a global economy,” says College of Engineering Dean Edward C. Hohmann.
Anniversary dinner admission tickets are $100 each and VIP Kellogg Art Gallery reception/dinner tickets are $250. Guest speaker, Dr. Patricia D. Galloway, author of “The 21st Century Engineer,” will bring her experience and expertise in global engineering and construction to Cal Poly Pomona as she talks about the number one challenge facing engineers today.
