On Thursday, May 1, at about 2 p.m., a text message was sent out from sms@ntigroup.com to confirm that text/SMS users are ready to receive Cal Poly Pomona Safety Alerts. This was not the Safety Alert System test scheduled for May 2 at 10 a.m. The Safety Alert System, using Connect-ED, is required to activate the SMS system with a simple confirmation message before anyone receives a message.
