Mother Miriam Ruth (Amy Hatfield), Sister Agnes (Stephanie Soukup) and Dr. Martha Livingston (Katie Holman) in “Agnes of God.”

The mystery of a baby's death is unraveled in Cal Poly Pomona's production of “Agnes of God,” taking place Feb. 22 – March 2.

In John Pielmeier's play, a court-appointed psychiatrist is called in to investigate the case of a young nun named Agnes, who claims to have had an immaculate conception after being discovered with her dead newborn. As the investigation progresses, the psychiatrist clashes with the strong-willed Mother Superior.

The play will be staged in the University Theatre at 8 p.m. Feb. 22-23 and Feb. 28-March 1. The production closes with a 2 p.m. matinee on March 2. Reservations are required for the special group matinee performance on Saturday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m.

Tickets are $15 for general admission or $12 for students, staff and seniors. For more information, call the Theatre Box Office at (909) 869-3800 or visit http://www.class.cpp.edu/th/index.html.
