Database Simplifies Search for Grants

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) is now providing an online database that will help faculty and staff locate and apply for grants.

The Community of Science (COS) online database is a clearinghouse for up-to-the-minute funding information from federal, state, local, foundation, corporation and other funding sources.

Despite its name, COS is not limited to searches in the sciences. The comprehensive database allows faculty and staff from all disciplines and departments to enter keywords, phrases or geographic areas to produce an immediate list of relevant funding opportunity matches based on the criteria entered.

This service also allows users to generate a weekly e-mail which will alert them to new funding opportunities (or changes to existing opportunities) that have been found in the preceding week.

For more information contact Sponsored Programs Associate Kirsten Torguson at (909) 869-3301 or ktorguson@csupomona.
