ReEntry & WoMen's Resource Center Celebrates 30th Anniversary
ReEntry & WoMen's Resource Center plans to celebrate its 30th anniversary May 4.
The center is looking for old snapshots like this one to share at the anniversary.

The ReEntry & WoMen's Resource Center is turning 30, and it's throwing itself a birthday bash May 4, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Bronco Student Center, Ursa Major suite.

Also known over the years as the Cal Poly Women's Center, the Center for ReEntry & Transition, and the Women's/ReEntry Resource Center,  the center is looking to get reacquainted with its old friends and reach out to new people who may not be familiar with its services.

Though the name has changed, the overriding mission has never been stronger. The center, as it is commonly known as, supports women, men, re-entry students, parents, and any one else looking for a friendly place on campus. The center offers services such as support groups, topical workshops, referrals and discussion groups.

Staff members at the center are calling out to old friends for pictures and stories to share during the 30th anniversary celebration. Submissions may be sent by e-mail thecenter@cpp.edu or delivered in person to center in Building 95.

Register for the 30th anniversary celebration by May 2. Tickets are $15 for student, $25 for faculty and staff, and $50 for alumni. Associated Student Inc. has co-sponsored the event enabling the center to use the proceeds for ReEntry & Women's Scholarships, Cal WORKs GAIN programs and Women's Leadership Fund.
