The Farm Store at Kellogg Ranch will host its first Tractor & Hot Rod Show on May 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event offers activities for the whole family, including a car show, tractor rides and demonstrations, petting zoo, horse rides, live music and food.
Cal Poly Pomona alumni, students, faculty and staff are invited to enter their pre-1980 vehicle in the car show for fantastic prizes. Registration for the car show is due by May 4. Contestants should arrive by 9 a.m. and winners will be announced at 2 p.m.
Young and old visitors alike can tour the ranch on a Farm Store tractor ride, and children can catch a ride on one of Cal Poly Pomona's horses with the university's Equestrian Drill Team. In addition, the kids will be able to have fun at the petting zoo and straw mazes.
Cal Poly Pomona-grown produce will available along with good eats cooked up by campus clubs and organizations including Los Robles Horticulture Club, Los Rancheros, Agricultural Ambassadors and the Broncettes.
This is the first production of the Farm Store's Tractor & Hot Rod Show. Other events hosted by the Farm Store include its annual Pumpkin Festival and Guacamole Bowl.
Admission and parking are free; parking will be available in Parking Lot K.
