David Herzog, Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Services Coordinator at Counseling and Psychological Services, will be presenting the following poster presentation: “A Consideration of the Healthy Use of Primitive Defenses in Daily Adult Psychological Functioning” at California Psychological Association’s 2007 convention. The presentation offers a non-pejorative understanding of the use of psychological defenses that are far too often attributed to pathology allowing for a more empathic understanding of psychotherapy clients with recommended clinical applications.
