In Memoriam: Chemistry Professor Emeritus Elisheva Goldstein
Professor Emeritus Elisheva Goldstein

Elisheva Goldstein, a professor emeritus in the Chemistry department, passed away from pneumonia on Jan. 15. She was 59 years old.

Dr. Goldstein, who was known as “Chevy” to her friends on campus, joined the faculty in 1978.

“Chevy was one of the most active of the Chemistry faculty. She was constantly working on her research, developing new courses and making presentations at national and international meetings. Just stopping by her office was to be inundated with new ideas,” Chemistry Professor Patrick Mobley says. “We miss her energetic spirit.”

Dr. Goldstein is survived by her husband Damon, daughter Danielle, son Elon and two grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held at Mount Sinai Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills on Wed., Jan. 17 at noon.
