ReEntry, WoMen's Center To Host LUNAFEST


To gear up for Women's Herstory Month in March, the ReEntry & Women's Resource Center is hosting LUNAFEST on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at the Bronco Student Center.

LUNAFEST is a national traveling film festival that showcases a diverse selection of original short films by, for, and about women. It was created to raise awareness about women's issues, highlight women filmmakers and bring women together in their communities.

The film festival is sponsored by the Pomona Valley NOW and Parents 'R Us. Fifteen percent of the proceeds will be given to Luna's Breast Cancer Fund. The rest of the proceeds benefit the Cal Poly Pomona chapters of NOW and Parents 'R Us.

The short films will be: Mann Ke Manjeere, Plum Flower, Slip of the Tongue, Breached, City Paradise, Top of the Circle, Dear Talula, Kylie Goldstein-All American and Agricultural Report.

The festival begins at 5 p.m. and will be shown in Ursa Minor. Presale tickets are $3 and tickets are $5 at the door. For more information about tickets contact the ReEntry & WoMen's Resource Center at (909) 869-3206.
