Commencement Attire on Sale

Cal Poly Pomona faculty and staff will have an opportunity to purchase discounted commencement attire at an Academic Regalia Fair on Tuesday, Nov. 14, in the Bronco Bookstore.

Representatives from Collegiate Cap & Gown will be on campus taking custom orders for commencement apparel unique to degrees and alma maters. The company will provide fabric samples for gowns, hoods, caps, and tams, and have similar regalia available to try on. Faculty and staff will receive a 10 percent discount on all items purchased that day, which will be received in time for this year's commencement.

“Every spring, when we begin taking orders for cap and gown rentals, we receive numerous inquiries from faculty on how they can purchase their own regalia,” says Karen Ward, CCR, Director of Bookstore Services. “A purchase not only saves money over the years of participating in commencement ceremonies, it avoids the time and hassle of renting and returning. Plus, the quality of a custom-made garment will be higher than that of a rental.”
