University Advancement Ambassador Award Nominations Accepted Now

For the first time, the University Advancement Division is bestowing two “Best Ambassador Awards” and it is looking to the campus community for nominations.

One award will be given to a university faculty or staff member outside the division and the other will be an internal staff member. Nominations for both awards are being accepted until Sept. 13.

University Advancement Vice President Scott Warrington and his staff want to honor someone from the campus community who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in their position and provided outstanding assistance and support to University Advancement.

“There are many people on campus outside of our division that go the extra step to help us; their assistance may not be part of their position description but they are there to lend us a helping hand and support us,” Warrington says. “We would like to show them just how much we appreciate and value them.”

In addition, if there is someone in University Advancement who you think has been a good example as an ambassador of goodwill for the division and the university then please take time out to nominate them, Warrington adds.

The awards will be given out at University Advancement's divisional meeting at Fall Conference, which will be held in the Japanese Garden on Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. The engraved awards also come with a $250 gift certificate, a special lunch and a campus-wide announcement

Please fill out the nomination form and return it to Warrington by Sept. 13 by campus mail or through e-mail. The forms can be downloaded here: https://polycentric.cpp.edu/announcements/best_ambassador_award.pdf
