Inland Hispanic Media Group Honors President Ortiz
President Ortiz is receiving an Inland Empire Hispanic Image Award.

Hispanic Lifestyle, a media group based in Riverside, announced this week that university President Michael Ortiz will receive one its prestigious Inland Empire Hispanic Image Awards.

Cal Poly Pomona's top leader will receive the Influential Latino Award.

“It is always an honor to be recognized for your work in the community,” Ortiz says. “Cal Poly Pomona and the entire CSU system will continue to work hard to provide social and educational opportunities throughout the Hispanic community.”

Hispanic Lifestyle, which is operated by the RDS Media Group Inc., is dedicated to promoting positive images of Latinos in the community. It publishes a monthly magazine and produces a weekly PBS show on KVCR, under the same name. The company has also expanded to include podcasts and hosts several events throughout the year such as the Business Expo & Conference and Latina Conference.

The Inland Empire Hispanic Image Awards are designed to give a ceremonial recognition to the achievements of Latinos in the community. Honorees were selected through readership nominations and an editorial review board process.
