University Internet services will experience a 12-hour downtime on July 22. |
Instructional & Information Technology (I&IT) and Facilities will replace the university's Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) attached to the computing center in the CLA Building (Building 98) on Saturday, July 22, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The replacement of the “mini power plant” will cause most centralized services to be unavailable for approximately 16 hours.
During this period, services such as electronic mail, all of the university's Web pages, Blackboard, BroncoDirect, PeopleSoft and BroncoData will be unavailable. Email sent to cpp.edu addresses during the outage will be stored and then distributed once email is back online.
The current UPS is old and unreliable. The UPS provides backup power in the event primary electrical power from public utilities is interrupted. For additional information, contact the Help Desk at (909) 869-6776.
