Stan Abraham, professor of strategy and entrepreneurship and president of Future By Design, co-authored a lead article, “The Troubled Strategic-Business-Advice Industry: Why It’s Failing Decision Makers,” in Strategy & Leadership, Vol. 34 No. 3, 2006, about the rising consumer dissatisfaction with the institutions and thinkers that publish the business journals, do corporate consulting, edit the business books, teach the MBAs, perform the business research, and write the business articles relating to strategy. Stan also was honored in June 2006 by the Association for Strategic Planning, a professional organization he cofounded in 1999, for his years of service and work on the Board of Directors (President 2003-04). ASP now has over 350 members and seven chapters all over the US, with another seven poised to join.
