Jean Gipe Appointed Interim Associate Dean for the College of Agricultue
Jean Gipe has been appointed interim associate dean for the College of Agriculture.

Jean Gipe has been appointed interim associate dean for the College of Agriculture, effective July 31.  

Professor Gipe comes from the Apparel Merchandising and Management Department in the College of Agriculture. She joined the Cal Poly Pomona community in 1975 as a lecturer. By 1987 she had climbed up the ranks and was appointed full professor. Gipe earned her B.S. in 1973 and her M.S. in 1975 at CSU Northridge in Home Economics.  

In her role as interim associate dean, Gipe will be responsible for guiding and overseeing the educational programs within the departments of Apparel Merchandising and Management, Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Food Marketing and Agribusiness Management, Human Nutrition and Food Science and Plant Science. She will oversee various centers and auxiliary units within the college in addition to supervising the personnel procedures of its faculty and staff. She will also work with the dean to prepare and administer the College of Agriculture's budget.
