BUDGET UPDATE – A Message From President Michael Ortiz

While the 2006-07 California State Budget has not been finalized, the May Revise has been announced and we do have a clear understanding of what we can expect in state funding for the next fiscal year.

 

The proposed campus 2006/2007 general fund budget, based on our current understanding of the state budget, has been posted onto Blackboard for your review and comment (https://www.cpp.edu/~iit/learning/blackboard/). If you have questions, please feel free to post them to the site and someone will respond.

 

If you prefer an in-person presentation of the proposed budget, Vice President Farris will be holding two Budget Cafés:

 

  • Tuesday, June 6 (11 a.m. to noon) in the Heritage Conference Room (CLA Building, 8th floor tower)        
  • Thursday, June 8 (4 p.m. to 5 p.m.) in the CLA Building, Room B1-31        

 

Similar to last years Budget Cafés, this event will give attendees an opportunity to learn about our projected state funding and ask questions.  

 

We want our budget to be as transparent as possible.  Because of that, we need you to be involved and informed.  I hope that each of you will take the time to review the budget on line or join us at one of the budget cafés as we plan for 2006-07.
