The California State University launched its math and science teacher initiative at a summit on March 2 in Industry Hills. In other news, CSU leaders fanned out among eight of the largest African American churches in the L.A. basin on Feb. 26 to bring the message to the community that the CSU wants to help more African American students prepare for and succeed in college.
