Foundation Employees Released From Hospital
Two were injured on Jan. 20 when their foundation dining cart hit a bollard near the Rose Garden.

Two Cal Poly Pomona Foundation employees injured in a dining cart accident near the Engineering Lab on Jan. 20 have been released from the hospital. Student employee Peter Rodriguez and staff member Jason Smith were on a delivery when their cart traveling southbound on Olive Lane hit the bollard. Following the incident, Rodriguez was airlifted to USC County Medical Center and Smith was transported by ambulance to Pomona Valley Hospital. University officials are checking the vehicle brakes and are investigating the incident.
