Don Green, director, Debra Schneck, procurement lead, Melody Kojima, buyer, Lorraine Rodriguez, buyer, Joan Horn, buyer, Becky Pepping, buyer, Sylvia Moriel, buyer, Ellen O’Neill, administrative support assistant, Ruth Carrington, PeopleSoft coordinator, and Marquita Monarrez, administrative analyst, Procurement & Support Services, have recently been awarded the Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award. This award is sponsored by the National Purchasing Institute, the Institute for Supply Management, the California Association of Public Purchasing Officers, the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing and the National Association of Educational Buyers (NAEB). The program is designed to measure innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity and leadership attributes of the procurement function. Cal Poly Pomona’s Procurement is one of only 144 awards nationally for 2005. From a system prospective, the California State University system received a total of seven awards this year. Schneck recently accepted the trophy at the NAEB District VI annual meeting in Colorado.
