Diana Minor has been appointed as Cal Poly Pomona's director of Financial Aid. Her appointment began July 1.
“Diana is a strong advocate for students and quality services,” says Kathy Street, associate vice president for Enrollment Services. “She has demonstrated her ability to provide positive leadership and the Financial Aid Office is poised to move forward in providing excellent service to students and the campus community.”
As director, Minor will provide leadership for the university's financial aid and scholarship programs, which award $70 million each year to 53 percent of Cal Poly Pomona's students. Minor, who has served as interim director since fall 2004, held several leadership positions on the Executive Council of the California Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (CASFAA) for several years and has provided leadership to the CASFAA's Diversity Committee and served as the CASFAA's secretary.
Minor earned both her bachelor's in Business Administration and her master's in Business Organization Management at the University of La Verne.
Minor and her husband, Darryle, reside in Corona with their son Darrian, and they are expecting their daughter Dakota in November.
