The university's American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Student Concrete Canoe Team hit the water in June to race in the 18th annual ASCE National Concrete Canoe Competition in Clemson, S.C. Competing against 21 other top engineering schools in the nation, Cal Poly Pomona placed eighth based on design, construction, speed and overall performance.
