Staff Council will present Staff Appreciation Day, “Imagine the Possibilities at Cal Poly Pomona,” on Thursday, June 16. The annual event, initiated in 1979, is an opportunity for the campus community to recognize outstanding staff as well as enjoy the friendship and support of peers. The day will kick off with a morning reception and welcome by Jim Norfleet, associate vice president for Student Services, from 8-9 a.m. in the Bronco Student Center's Centaurus Room. From 9:30-11 a.m., staff can enjoy the following planned activities: Kellogg House Pomona Tour and High Tea, Hands-on Bow Making & Farm Store Visit, Arabian Horse & Equine Research Centers Tour, Collins School Wine Tasting, “Swing into Action” Dance on the Paseo, Theatre Backstage Tour, BioTrek Tour, John T. Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies Tour and an Estate Planning Seminar. For more information on these activities, click here. The traditional Staff Appreciation Day luncheon will be held 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Bronco Student Center's Ursa Major Suite. At this event, the 2004-05 Outstanding Staff Awards will be given to Paul Helms, Athletics; Debra Schneck, Procurement & Support Services; and Marian Sherman, Faculty Center for Professional Development.
