Yvonne Bailey has been formally appointed as the new director of the Cal Poly Pomona Children?s Center. Bailey received a bachelor's degree in child development from Cal State Fullerton and is currently completing a master's degree in child development from the University of La Verne. Bailey previously served as a School Readiness and Cal Safe Coordinator for the Upland Unified School District. The Cal Poly Pomona Children's Center's objective is to assist student-parents in maintaining enrollment at Cal Poly Pomona by providing a quality child care program designed to meet the social, emotional and cognitive needs of young children. The center, currently licensed to care for 71 children, provides day care for children 2 years of age until entry into first grade. The Children's Center is funded by Associated Students Inc. and the division of Student Affairs.
