Come meet the people who provide ambulance service to the campus community! MEDIC-1 Ambulance Service is hosting an open house to showcase the new on-campus ambulance quarters on Tuesday, May 17, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The new facility is located near the Children's Center and Residential Suites. Owned and operated by University Housing, the facility previously functioned as construction headquarters for the new Residential Suites. The division of Student Affairs has made the facility available to MEDIC-1 to enhance emergency response for the campus community. Cal Poly Pomona and MEDIC-1 have had a long partnership, with the ambulance service frequently participating in campus emergency exercises and providing stand-by service at events such as commencement.
