Faculty Invited to Celebrate Dedication to Teaching at Faculty Day Barbecue
The annual Faculty Day celebration and barbecue lunch is a way to honor faculty dedication to teaching.

All faculty are invited to the annual Faculty Day celebration and barbecue lunch on Tuesday, May 3, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Building 1 Courtyard, second floor. The event is hosted by the Faculty Center for Professional Development, Instructional & Information Technology, Center for Community Service-Learning, International Center, Lecturer Support Program, Office of Research & Sponsored Programs and University Writing Center.

The annual event is a way to honor faculty dedication to teaching. Nearly 100 faculty members attended last year's event.

Kellogg West will prepare barbecue chicken, ranch-style beans, red potato salad, fresh fruit and warm apple pie.

Entertainment this year will be provided by “The Out-Laws of Physics,” a faculty group featuring John “Slo” Mallinckrodt, lead guitar and vocals; Harvey “Styx” Leff, drums and backup vocals; Jolene “Throte” Houser, vocals and guitar; and John “Phingerz” Jewett, keyboard and vocals.
