"Day of Independence" Film Viewing


The campus community is invited to a film viewing of "Day of Independence" on Thursday, April 14, 7-8 p.m., at the Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center. The half-hour film is set in a Japanese American internment camp during World War II. The movie is followed by a question and answer session with Academy Award-winning director Chris Tashima. Admission is free. The event is co-sponsored by the Asian & Pacific Islander Student Center, Asian Pacific Faculty, Staff & Student Association, Cal Poly Pomona Downtown Center and the Walter & Michi Weglyn Endowed Chair for Multicultural Studies.
