Associated Students Inc. and the Athletics department will host a postseason celebration for the men's and women's basketball teams on Thursday, April 21, from noon to 1 p.m., in the first floor lobby of the Bronco Student Center.
Cal Poly Pomona is celebrating the success of its men's and women's basketball programs. The men's team won its second NCAA Division II West Region Championship in the past three years and captured a share of its first CCAA title since 1981. The women's team qualified for the NCAA playoffs for the 20th time, which is the second highest total in NCAA Division II.
The celebration will begin at noon followed by the CCAA conference championship awards presentations at 12:30 p.m. ASI will provide free pizza and drinks. The event is open to the public. Those who would like to attend are asked to RSVP to Athletics at (909) 869-2810.
